John Muirhead

John is a business development leader with a record of driving growth at global private equity and alternative investments firms. He worked 18 years at JPMorgan Private Bank primarily serving ultra-high net worth clients in Latin America. Most recently he spent 5 years at Apollo Global Management as head of business development in Latin America serving institutions and family offices, as well as US family offices. He has raised over $3 billion in commitments across all alternative investment types including alternative credit, private equity, direct investments and co-investments. John recently earned a Master of International Public Policy from John Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in energy resources and the environment focusing on strategies for transitioning to renewable energy. He also holds an MBA from University of Chicago and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.


Stephanie Granato

Stephanie Granato is a corporate attorney and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience advising growing companies, entrepreneurs and investors. She has represented a broad range of private and public corporate clients, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. Stephanie serves on the Advisory Board of WE Global Studios, a full-stack innovation venture studio and digital platform for women entrepreneurs around the world. Stephanie holds a JD from Yale Law School, an MSc from the London School of Economics and BA from UCLA in Economics – International Area Studies (Latin America). Stephanie is admitted to the bar in California and New York.

Claudine Loi

Claudine was most recently a Leadership Development Consultant working with tech and “start-up culture” companies. For over 20 years, she has had a multi-faceted career at JP Morgan and Citibank that included roles in Finance, Foreign Exchange Derivatives Sales, Training and Development, Marketing and Internal Communications. Claudine holds a B.A. in Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley and a M.B.A. from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP). She is fluent in English, French and Cantonese.


Sergio Luna

Sergio worked for 33 years at the department of economic research of Banamex – today Citibanamex – and was Citi´s chief economist for Mexico for the last 15 of his tenure at the bank. Sergio was Mexico´s representative in the forecast group of the Pacific Economic Council (PEEC) and took part in the road show leading to Mexico´s inclusion into the World Government Bond Index (WGBI). Sergio is an economist graduated from UNAM in Mexico City, with a Ph.D. from the University of London. He has published in specialized journals such as Trimestre Económico (the oldest economic journal in the Spanish Language) and Investigación Económica and has been a contributor to books such as Fiscal Deficits in the Pacific Region (Routledge, 2012). Sergio has taught at UNAM, CIDE, the University of London and is a recurrent commentator on economic subjects in radio and TV shows as well as in printed and web-based media. He serves as a board member at BondBlox and is senior Mexico advisor for Electa Capital Partners

Robert McLain

Robert retired from JPMorgan Chase in 2018 after 30 years with the firm. His last role was Vice Chairman of JPMorgan’s Private Bank. He spent his last 10 years leading the bank’s Latin America Investment division, working directly with the largest family offices in the region. Prior to that, he was the leader of the Global Private Bank’s Product group where he created the manager selection group focusing on outside managers in the hedge fund, private equity and traditional equity and fixed income asset classes.


Ana Naretto

Ana has sixteen years of experience in the Chilean financial sector and has been working for more than ten years as a Sales Manager in Latam, covering institutional clients in the region. Prior to joining Electa Capital, Ana was a Sales Manager at BICE Inversiones, one of the most important banks in Chile, responsible for the business relation with Institutional Investors in Chile, Peru and Colombia. Previously, she was a Client Portfolio Manager at Altis, responsible for structuring and managing portfolios of a group of High Net Worth Chilean families. She also worked at Celfin Asset Management (now BTG Pactual) and Cardif (the insurance company of BNP Paribas), as an equities and fixed income trader.
Miss Naretto holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

Carlos Pérez Salazar

Carlos Pérez Salazar has had a successful trajectory in the Mexican financial markets with over 30 years of experience, having worked with some of Mexico’s leading financial institutions: Banamex, Citigroup, and AKAAN Aegon. In 2019 Carlos was invited to serve as External Advisor to Grupo HYCSA’s Board of Directors. Tom Rutherford

Tom has been advising family offices, trusts, private clients and charities for more than twenty years both at Lombard Odier and as a managing director at JPMorgan Private Bank, also leading their charities and international manager due diligence teams for many years. Previously he worked at Robert Fleming & Co where he was both a portfolio manager and equity research analyst. Jessica is a business development professional at Electa. She has also worked for both established and emerging investment managers in business development roles targeting European investors, and she spent 3+ years working for one of her earliest clients in a billion+ single family office. Ignacio Berckemeyer

Ignacio’s experience includes working as an analyst for the Mexico & Southern Cone teams at the JPMorgan Private Bank in New York. After completing a Master in Corporate Communications at Universidad de Navarra in Spain, Ignacio worked as a consultant at OmicomPublicRelations in Madrid, advising clients such as J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Ignacio received an MBA degree from PAD/IESE and took an active role in establishing the Human Resources department at an aircraft maintenance company in Peru. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Financial Advisor degree from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) in Madrid.


Eva Costa

Eva has extensive experience in the financial industry creating bespoke solutions for institutional and private clients. Her product expertise ranges from alternative investments, fixed income and equities to derivatives and foreign exchange. Her primary focus at Electa is to perform value-added research and due diligence. Eva also brings hands-on expertise in blockchain technology and decentralized finance. Eva spent 10 years at JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Madrid. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Business Administration from UAM. She has two certificates in blockchain technology from Columbia Business School and the Digital Asset Council of Finance Professionals. Eva is fluent in Spanish.
